ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
Welcome. My name is Dana Fair and I am a licensed art therapist and social worker based in the upper west side of New York City. I support adults and teens who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, life transitions, identity development, relationship issues, and parenting. In this practice I integrate art, psychology, mindfulness, and traditional talk therapy to help clients find and strengthen their unique potential.
EXPERIENCE
I have been practicing as an art therapist for 15 years. Along with my private practice work, I work at New York Creative Arts Therapists, PLLC as a senior art therapist. Prior to that, I spent seven years working as a trauma therapist with children, families, and NYC case workers to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue. I also have extensive experience working with adults of all ages at an outpatient mental health agency. There, I supported adults and teens who were dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, family related issues, and other life stressors. I come to this work with deep gratitude and humility in witnessing people in their darkest moments move through their healing journey.
